Monique Lovering / Painter
Monique spent many years in publishing and design as an Art Director. She was based in London for 10 years where she had her own design business and practiced as an artist. Whenever possible she traveled to Italy, after several journeys basking in the culture and art she moved to Palermo, Sicily. A studio in a old palazzo became home to her daily practice as an artist.
1998 - 2009 - London and Italy.
2010 - present - Based in Sydney, Australia.

1999 - 2004 - Summer school at the ‘Slade’ London / drawing and painting courses
2005 - Prince’s Drawing School London / student / part of a group exhibition.
2005 - Summer spent in Palermo, Sicily, painting / Exhibited work at ‘Lo Spasimo’ as part of the art festival.
2006 - Exhibited work at ‘Equinox’ in Soho, London / Set up a studio in Clapham - Battersea studios.
2007 - Moved to Palermo, Sicily, Italy / studio set up to work on a new body of work.
2008 - 2009 - Palermo - exhibited at ‘Desfinado’ / Group show in Berlin.
2012 - Exhibited work at ‘Small Spaces’, Sydney, Australia.
2013 - Exhibited at ‘My Micro Gallery’, Milan, Italy / curated by Stefania Carrozzini.
2014 - Exhibited at 'Sheffer Gallery', Sydney, Australia - 'The mapping of tenderness' / paintings and works on paper.
2015 - Volunteer at the National Art School Gallery.
